Makes 24 cookies
1) Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder and salt, and sift together three times.
2) Cream butter thoroughly, add sugar gradually, and cream together well.
3) Add egg, lemon rind, and peanuts, and mix well. Add flour, alternately with milk. Beat after each addition until smooth.
4) Drop by teaspoons on greased baking sheet and bake in hot oven (475 degrees) 8 minutes or until done.
5) Makes 2 dozen cookies.
